goodjazzchords Lets be us again & Roll Back my life 2 pieces of beautiful heartfelt music.

jae Even better than their debut. Willy’s lyrics, Amy’s voice, those horns and steel guitar, the overall energy and vibes . . . everything on point. Music for a late-night stroll down to the local dive bar, or for driving some melancholic highway through forgotten towns at dusk.

Nerve Salad Such a fine collection of classy tunes. One of those last-minute discoveries for me. Cool band, great lyrics, smooth sound. Always has that "rainy-day-at-home-alone" feel to the tunes, giving the whole album a blissfully gloomy vibe that's hard to escape. An album full of "feels". I'm finding myself liking this band more and more as time goes by. Boone's lyrics are fantastic portraits of hard livin', poor choices, and empty dreams. I like to call this "24-Hour Laundromat Americana Blues.

Raymond Stewart No one does a melancholic slow burner quite like the Delines. If you've ever driven from Bakersfield to Barstow and seen how the dust laden winds have battered the apartment buildings by the interstate there, making every window a mystery because you ask yourself why anyone would live here by choice...I think the people portrayed in Delines songs have done time in places like this, and not because they wanted to.

ivanerik I can't remember the last time I looked forward to an album release so much or for so long. If the best news of 2018 was that Amy Boone had fully recovered from her accident, and that The Delines were up and running again, then the best news of 2019 so far is this album being available today. It is of course absolutely sublime and I'm now wallowing in these sad sad songs with a huge grin on my face :-)
